We spend the weekend of August 26-28, spelunking and rafting near Trout Lake, Washington. The trip for high school students and their families requires online registration to guarantee your spot.
We meet at Newberg Friends Church (307 S College St) at 2 p.m. on a Friday. We plan to return to Newberg Friends by 3 p.m. on the following Sunday. We drive to and camp in Washington’s Gifford Pinchot National Forest (about a 2-1/2-hour drive). On Saturday, we spend much of the day exploring caves in the area near Trout Lake. On Sunday, we raft the White Salmon River. The cost is $75 per person. Here’s the packing list.
If you are a student, we also need to have a medical release and permission slip on file for you. If you’ve already turned in a release for the 2015/16 school year, please disregard. If you haven’t yet done so, have your parents complete and sign the release. If you’re not sure as to whether we already have a release on file for you, call me or send me an email. I’ll check our records and let you know if we need this form from you.
We need to make sure there are enough tents for everyone, so please let me know if you have a tent that we can use.
