Donald Keith Williams was born in Wilder, Idaho, April 13, 1921, to Floyd Wendell and Bernice M. Williams. He passed away on April 29, 2018. He was preceded in death by his four brothers, two sisters, his wife of 53 years, Alyce, and his wife of 15 years, Eilene. His surviving family includes three sons, two stepdaughters, one stepson, 23 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
Keith grew up in Greenleaf Friends Church and attended Greenleaf Elementery School and Caldwell High School. He graduated from Greenleaf Friends Academy in 1939. In the fall of 1940 he enrolled at Pacific College in Newberg, Oregon, and attended for two years.
On September 8, 1946, he married Alyce Lorene Craven, the daughter of Edgar and Isa Craven. Following their marriage at Greenleaf Friends Church they moved back to Oregon where Keith returned to Pacific College. He graduated in 1948 and was listed among America Colleges and Universities outstanding students. After graduation he and Alyce moved to Greenleaf, Idaho, where he farmed for two years before joining the staff of the Idaho Farm Bureau. In 1955 he and the family moved to Bozeman, Montana, to work as the executive secretary of the Montana Farm Bureau. He finished his working career with the Montana Power Company as an agriculture representative in Billings, Montana. Keith served as a Sunday school teacher, a member of the church boards, a lay leader, treasurer and chairman of various committees in churches in Bozeman, Helena, and Billings.
Keith and Alyce had three boys: Ron, a retired chemical engineer in Bellingham, Washington; Con, a retired electrician in Simi Valley, California; and Doug, an IT network manager in Bellingham, Washington. Con was married to Kathy Purvis of Billings, Montana, and they have three children Joel, Lindsay, and Josh. Con is now married to Cheryl and has three step-children Melissa, Ashley, and Dillon. Doug married Laura Hein of Billings, Montana, and has a daughter, Tessa.
Two years after retirement Keith and Alyce moved to Newberg to be near family. Keith worked as a volunteer at Camp Tilikum, George Fox University, and Newberg Friends Church. In 1995 they moved to the Nut Tree Ranch mobile home park where Keith planted a rose garden that provided him fresh roses to bring to Alyce for the last few months of her life.
In 2001 Keith moved to Friendsview. He married Eilene Nordyke and they had 15 great years together before her passing in May 2017. They spent time traveling and visiting their families. They volunteered for various committees and activities at both Friendsview and George Fox University.
Keith lived a wonderful 97 years. He loved his Lord, he loved his family, he loved the church, and he loved people. He will be greatly missed by many.
