All stories follow the same trajectory, touching on issues of relationship, rejection, redemption, and reconciliation. Grace is necessary. And in really good stories, we find it all over the place.

What about your story? Are you experiencing grace? Is your life a source of grace for others?

And what about your involvement in Sunday school, youth group, weekend retreats, summer camps -- are we a community that gives grace? Are we a community in which people find grace?

Let me know what you think.

21 June 23 - Backpack Trip

Details are coming together for our third annual high school backpack expedition into Eastern Oregon's Monument Rock Wilderness. The three-day trip has been set for June 21-23, putting us into the hills just as wildflowers are set for full bloom. The cost is $50, and registration information is available in the information box that's in the right margin of this page. Scholarships are available.

28 June - Bridgetown Night Strike

High school youth from Newberg area churches join together at 6 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, to get a first-hand experience of urban ministry. Bridgetown Ministries serves people who live on the streets of Portland, providing a warm meal, a clothes/blanket/sleeping bags closet, haircuts, foot-washing, and lots of conversations. It's a memorable and safe way to experience urban ministries and to interact with people in a meaningful way. Call me at (503) 538-8381, ext 106, for information on how to get involved. The next scheduled time for work with Bridgetown will be on Thursday, July 19.
