Spring clean in October? You bet! The church, cemetery, and wood ministry all received some extra attention during the first-ever NFC Serve Day. On the morning of October 25, more than 35 volunteers came to help tackle a variety of fix-it
projects, cleaning tasks, landscaping, and more. Folks of all ages participated, serving both indoors and out. At the end of the morning we consumed four crock pots of chili while we enjoyed a great time of fellowship over lunch.
The conservative estimate of the value of donated time comes in well over one thousand dollars. A grateful “thank you!” to each and every volunteer!
We hope to begin a tradition of “serve days”—one each fall and spring. Maybe you can join us for the next one!
