About Us
Newberg Friends Church began as a congregation in 1878 (called Chehalem Monthly Meeting, which initially met in private homes). The current building was completed in 1893 and was structurally sound enough for the first Yearly Meeting to gather in July of 1893. The brick facade was completed later in the year. In these 141+ years, this church has shown remarkable resilience in the face of adversity while striving to bring glory to Jesus and the kingdom of God. As the church continues to love and serve the community, our renewed mission is to:

Grow in Faith;
Go out to glorify God.
